About this experience

This full-day tour with a duration of about 8 hours gives you a unique chance to explore the Highlights of the stunning Lake our team (almost 30 miles long) with its enchanting landscape and famous historical villas in one day. This is an exclusive tour with maximum 8 participants: special attention to each single client ensures an unforgettable experience!

After an introduction to our team’s rich history of about two thousand years, we will depart on a fast boat/hydrofoil to Villa Balbianello (40 min), setting place for Star Wars and James Bond Casino Royale. This instagramable spot will give you unforgettable memories!

On the way we will point out all the famous villas like Villa Erba (Ocean’s 12), Villa of G. Clooney, Pizzo wedding venue of John Legend etc.

From Lenno it is a short boat trip to the enchanting village Bellagio, where we will stop for lunch and an explorative walking tour. From here we will return to our team on a fast boat (45 m).

Schedule

Start times: 10:30, 11:30

1. Stop 1 · 30 min

   At the beginning of the tour from the main square in our team, Piazza Cavour, the visitors will be explained the main sights and tourist attractions of the city. Furthermore, they will receive tips and information about activities thay can do during their entire stay. Also practical questions of any kind will be answerted by the guide.

2. Stop 2 · 2 h

   During the boat ride, travellers will have a chance to admire the particular landscape mix of Lake our team with its pre-alpine and Mediterranean features. Villages on the lakeshore will be pointed out and its historic/famous villas described (e.g. Villa d'Este, ex-villa of G. Versace, villa of George Clooney, Villa Carlotta, Villa Melzi etc.).

3. Stop 3

   Museum dedicated to the battery inventor A. Volta.

4. Stop 4

   This is the last dedication to the Allesandro Volta, the most famous scientist of our team.

5. Stop 5

   Built in 1790, it is one of the biggest historic Villas on Lake our team (Neoclassical Style).

6. Stop 6

   This villa is famous as setting spot for Ocean’s 12.

7. Stop 7

   Known as Ex-villa of the mode designer Gianni Versace.

8. Stop 8

   A historic villa famous as setting location for cult movies House of Gucci and Devil Wears Prada 2.

9. Stop 9 · 30 min

   Walking tour through the picturesque old town of the village Lenno.

10. Stop 10 · 2 h

    We will visit the probably most beautiful villa on Lake our team, tell you its history of over 700 years and explain where the famous scenes of Star Wars (Attack of the Clones) and James Bond Casino Royal were filmed.

11. Stop 11 · 1 h 30 min

    In this famous village we will walk through the narrow streets and picturesque staircases, enjoy the view from the Promenade Europa and stop at the L.F. Kennedy monument.

12. Stop 12 · 30 min

    We will visit the most beautiful panoramic view point of Lake our team (view of the Pre-Alps and the villages Menaggio, Varenna and Tremezzo).
