About this experience

The Heritage Safari invites you to experience the rich traditions of Bedouin life, from falconry and Arabic coffee making to traditional performances and henna. Journey through the desert in iconic 1950s vintage Land Rovers, and learn about native wildlife and plant life with your expert Conservation Guide. This safari breaks away from standard expectations of a desert safari, offering a culturally accurate representation of the U.A.E.

Schedule

Start times: 14:30

1. Stop 1 · 1 h

   Pick-up from Dubai hotels in an air-conditioned vehicle between 02:00 PM and 04:30 PM, depending on the season. We will inform you of the exact pick-up time around noon on the day of your desert experience.

2. Stop 2 · 15 min

   Arrive at the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve and receive your Headscarf and a Stainless Steel Water Bottle. These are included in each booking and are a gift for our guests to take home.

3. Stop 3 · 1 h

   Embark on a 60-minute nature safari in a Vintage Land Rover inside the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve.

4. Stop 4 · 45 min

   Marvel at a spectacular sunset falcon show against an Arabian sunset backdrop.

5. Stop 5 · 2 h

   Arrive at an authentic torch-lit Bedouin camp, where you'll be warmly welcomed with Arabic coffee and dates. Enjoy live demonstrations of bread and coffee making. Savor a four-course traditional dinner.

6. Stop 6 · 1 h

   Engage in interactive Emirati performances, including drumming and Yola. Experience short camel rides near the camp premises. Relax on comfortable majlis with premium shishas. Complimentary henna tattoo available.

7. Stop 7 · 1 h

   Return to the hotel between 10:30 PM and 11:30 PM, depending on the season and traffic conditions.

• The Dubai desert can get cooler in the evenings during winter, so we recommend you bring a light jacket and closed shoes
