2.5 HR Off-Road Tour Buggy Lava Field Adventure from Reykjavik

About this experience

Amazing unique tour of combination of lava fields and geothermal landscapes.

Here you will begin your day by being picked up by the buggy operator and taken to their new headquarters and be briefed to go over safety instructions. You can even have a free cup of coffee at their base camp.

You will set your journey through lava fields and venture to Hellisheidi Geothermal power plant. The power plant provides electricity and hot water to the whole capital of Iceland Reykjavik. You will see the skiing mountains of Reykjavik called Blue Mountains. We will ascend to Hengill Mountain range and see a fantastic view through all the steams coming from all around the Geothermal power plant.

Requirements & restrictions

• Ages: Children 6–16, Adults 17–99 years
• All hotels in downtown Reykjavik are at a no pick up zone by the city.
• Therefore you will need to walk to the nearest bus stop. It should be 2-5 minute walk from your hotel.
• To choose what bus stop. You will need to go to and type in your hotel address and choose which bus stop you want to be picked from.
• Please select one and let us know
• You need to be ready at 09:00 or 13:00 - depending on what departure you book. The pick-up can take up to 30 min.

• Not recommended for pregnant travelers
• Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
• Price is per person - select the option you prefer (single or shared rider)
• Min age as a passenger is 6 years
• A full valid driver’s licence is required to drive the buggy car
• No alcohol or drug tolerance is allowed on our tours.
• A minimum of 2 adults per booking for the Shared option and 1 adult per booking for the single rider option is required
